New OPAC -- SOPAC and VuFind

Hi class,

You may be interested in learning about SOPAC (Drupal-based). It is the next generation OPAC that has a lot of library2.0 features. Their version2.0 just came out, and it is implemented in Darien Library. The OPAC display has both item record and item review tabs, and the tag cloud is on the right side:

The excellent Ann Arbor District Library uses SOPAC version 1.0. I am very fond of their card catalog image feature:

There is also an Open Source next gen OPAC called VuFind. Below are the two libraries using VuFind on top of their ILS:
